​Marie Thomas' profession as an accomplished photographer materialized from an accidental interest. At the young age of 14, a random high school course selection chosen by Thomas emerged into an incredible professional ​career that spans over 25 years. As a teenager, Thomas received positive feedback about her impressive photographer's eye and decided to further develop and perfect her blossoming interest by enrolling in photography courses at a local junior college in her native city of Los Angeles, CA.

Thomas' determination to follow her heart in the arts as a photographer ultimately led her in directions she could once only imagine. Her incredible skill and noted keen photographer's eye granted Thomas the opportunity to photograph and work with numerous notables, such as Tyra Banks, Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, Sean "P Diddy" Combs, Antonio "LA" Reid, Jermaine Dupree, Dallas Austin, Kelly Price, Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Monica, Johnnie Cochran, Chante Moore, Kenny Latimore, and Kat Williams just to name a select few. In addition, her work has appeared in Savoy Magazine, Atlanta Magazine, Essence Magazine, Upscale Magazine and Heart & Soul Magazine and the list of her displayed work of photographic art continues.

However, regardless of the photography services offered and provided by Thomas, with every photograph taken she always aims to draw out the truth of the image while also making the photograph aesthetically pleasing to the eye. In order to successfully accomplish this outcome in her photography, Thomas makes it a point to personally relate to the individuals she photographs and establishes a mutual comfort level during photo shoots.
